About project

The Roadmap to the Kremlin’s Policy in Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali Region project is an information-analytical portal integrated with the website of the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies aimed at informing decision-makers, analytical centers, experts and media sources about the Kremlin’s policy towards Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region after the 2008 Russian-Georgian war.

Based on open source monitoring, the project makes available information-analytical materials on various aspects of the relations between Abkhazia, the Tskhinvali region and Russia, including Russian public officials and agencies that are responsible for the formation and implementation of the Kremlin's policy towards Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region. In addition, within the project one can learn more about the chronology of important developments in bilateral relations as well as agreements signed between the parties after Russia's recognition of the independence of Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region. It also provides information about the visits of high-ranking Russian officials to these regions.
