The de facto state Security Service and Ministry of Emergency Situations of Abkhazia, as well as the Border Directorate of the Russian Federal Security Service, jointly carry out raids in order to check the regime established in the maritime spaces of Abkhazia.

The purpose of the raids is to inspect the sea area and check compliance with the “rules” for entry and exit of small vessels, as well as ensuring the safety of “citizens” and tourists of Abkhazia while at sea.
