Artillerymen carried out exercises at the 7th military base of the Russian Federation in Abkhazia. Exercises were also conducted at military training grounds in the Tskhinvali region, Armenia, and the Astrakhan region (Russia).

The servicemen destroyed armored equipment and command posts of a conventional enemy and trained in combat shooting on mountainous and forest terrain. In total, more than ten firing drills were conducted both during the day and night time.

The exercise involved over 1,500 servicemen and about 300 units of weapons and ammunition, including Akatsya self-propelled howitzers, Msta-B towed howitzers, Grad salvo fire systems, Sani mortars, etc.
