At the extraordinary session, State Council of de facto Republic of Crimea, annexed by Russian Federation, approved agreement on cooperation with Tskhinvali Region in trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural fields.
Agreement was signed on April 18, 2019, at the 5th Yalta International Economic Forum between Sergey Aksenov, de facto Head of Crimea and Anatoly Bibilov, de facto President of Tskhinvali Region. The agreement envisages cooperation during 2019-2022.
According to Georgy Muradov, de facto Deputy Chairman of Council of Ministers of Crimea, Crimea can share with Tskhinvali Region experience in agriculture and tourism. Abovementioned document is the first official agreement between the parties.
