Drill was announced at Russian 7th military base in Abkhazia in the frames of ongoing exercises in Southern Military District. The exercises are conducted under leadership of Commander of the district Aleksandr Dvornikov (see the details here).

At the first stage military personnel worked out standards for the operational loading of ammunition and materiel stocks, which was followed by 200 km length march. Upon arrival at Nagvalou and Tsebelda polygons, they exercised to camouflage military equipment and field communication lines in mountainous, wooded and coastal areas. In total, more than 2 thousand military personnel participated in tactical exercises and more than 300 units of military and special equipment was involved, including modern „T-72B3“ tanks and multiple launch rocket systems  („Grad“).
