In 2021, Russia will allocate RUB 1.3 billion to increase the salaries for employees of budgetary institutions in Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region. The salary increase is envisaged under the 2021 draft federal budget.  

RUB 1 billion 253 million 759 thousand is considered for 2021, and RUB 1 billion 169 million 800 thousand for 2022 and 2023.

The decision on salaries increase was made on September 8, 2020, after a meeting with the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Dimitri Kozak. Kozak oversees the directions of Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region.
