In Summer 2019, military servicemen of Russian Federation, civil servants of the Ministry of Defence, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Rosgvardia will be able to spend holidays in Abkhazia.

According to December 26, 2017 Decree, released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russian Federation, considering „military-political, criminogenic, sanitary-epidemiological and natural-climate conditions“, it is safe for Ministry personnel, including civil servants, to spend holidays in 13 countries. Apart from Abkhazia de facto republic, Russian law enforcements were allowed to spend holidays in Tskhinvali Region as well.
