Radio-electronic combat specialists of the 7th Russian military base in Abkhazia exercised to defend significant facilities from UAV air strikes. Specialists completed standards in deploying radio-electronic combat complexes and stations.

On February 15, 2019, in Sochi, the Russian Federation, in the framework of Russian Investment Forum  2019, de facto state company of Abkhazia „Sea Shipping Company“ and Russian open JSC „Black Sea Cruises“ signed agreement to organize cruise connection between Abkhazian and Russian ports by 2020. 

On February 15, 2019, in Sochi, Russia, during the Investment Forum 2019, de facto Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Abkhazia Jansugh Nanba and the Deputy Governor of Krasnodar Krai Igor Galas signed activities program for 2019-2021.

According to the article published in „Российская газета“ on February 5, 2019, the Abkhazian Public Chamber, in cooperation with the Russian Public Chamber and the Foundation of Democratic Problems Research, conducted a sociological survey – „Abkhazia-2008: Socio-Political Processes and Problems Affecting the Population“. According to the survey, the top rating future leader of Abkhazia is Inal Ardzinba - well-known to Russian political circles.

On February 14, 2019, in Moscow, at the Foreign Affairs Ministry of the Russian Federation, regular round of consultations was held between Russia and Abkhazia. Aleksey Pavlovski, Director of the 4th CIS Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, and Igor Akhba, de facto ambassador of Abkhazia to Russia, participated in the meeting.

On February 14, 2019, in Sochi, Russia, during the Investment Forum 2019, de facto Prime Minister and the Finance Minister of Abkhazia Jansugh Nanba and the Governor of Nenets Autonomous Okrug Aleksander Tsibulski signed memorandum on intention to develop cooperation in trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural fields.

Motorised infantry and tank units of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation began large-scale tactical military trainings. Apart of the territory of Russia trainings will occur in Armenia, occupied regions of Georgia (Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali Region), the annexed Crimea.

The 7th Russian military base in Abkhazia received 10 latest armoured vehicles „Tigr“ manufactured by  „GAS“. Each vehicle weighs - 6.5 t, with maximum speed - 120 km / h.

In „Moscow House“, Sokhumi, under the Moscow government initiative, manuals and methodical literature of Russian language, culture and history were handed over to the representatives of Russian community in Abkhazia and the Russian Federal Security Service Border Division.

Motorized infantry unit under airmobile group composition of the 7th Russian military base in Abkhazia worked out their actions for the first time. The units carried out reconnaissance activities in the mountainous areas, based on information received from UAVs.

Topographic service specialists of the Southern Military District created model-maps of the local area under field conditions at Tselebda polygon in Abkhazian highlands. During the training, the specialists worked out deployment of modern portable digital topographic system (ПЦТС) and camouflaged its positions.

On February 8, 2019, in Moscow, Muhamed Kilba, de facto Secretary of the Security Council of Abkhazia, and his Russian counterpart Nikolay Patrushev signed Security Councils’ collaboration plan for 2019-2020.
