On December 12, at the invitation of the Chairman of the Russian Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, a delegation of the de facto parliament of Abkhazia took part in the 4th International Conference “The role of the interaction between blocs and factions of political parties in inter-parliamentary cooperation of the CIS countries” which was held in Moscow.

On December 5, the the representation office of the Federal Agency for the CIS, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Affairs in Abkhazia (“Russian House”) in the occupied Tskhinvali region, Sergey Komissarov, met with Svetlana Kotaeva, the Head of the Rossy society of Russian compatriots.

On November 29, during his visit to Moscow, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the de facto Republic of Abkhazia, Inal Ardzinba, met with a deputy of the Russian Duma, Vladimir Resin.

On November 30, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, who supervises the occupied regions of Georgia in the ministry, Mikhail Galuzin, held a meeting with the Adviser to Alan Gagloyev, the de facto President of the Tskhinvali region, Konstantin Kochiev, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the de facto Republic of Abkhazia, Irakli Tuzhba. Kochiev and Tuzhba represent the occupied regions at the Geneva International Negotiations, and this meeting was devoted to the preparation for the 59th round of the Geneva Talks which will be held on December 5, 2023.

On November 24, as part of the Vision 2023 journalistic competition, the Prime Minister of the de facto Republic of Abkhazia, Alexander Ankvab, met with Andrei Kondrashov, the Director General of the Russian News Agency – TASS. The so-called Ambassador of Russia to Abkhazia, Mikhail Shurgalin, and the Head of the representation office of the Federal Agency for the CIS, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Affairs in Abkhazia (Russian House) in Abkhazia, Dmitry Fedotov.

On November 22, during his visit to Moscow, the speaker of the de facto parliament of Abkhazia, Lasha Ashuba, met with members of the Russian Federal Council. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council, Konstantin Kosachev, the Chairman of the Committee on Defense and Security, Vladimir Bulavin and his first deputy, Vladimir Chizhov. The members of the delegation of the de facto republic were also the Chairman of the so-called Parliamentary Committee on Defense and National Security, Temur Shergelia, and the Counselor of the so-called Embassy in Russia, Madina Avidzba.
