Relation with the Tskhinvali Region

• Immediately after his appointment on September 22, 2016, Kravtsov met the de facto President of Tskhinvali Region, Leonid Tibilov. At the meeting with Tibilov, Kravtsov was also accompanied by the Deputy Commander of the Southern Military District, Andrei Gurulev. According to Tibilov’s statement, “the 4th Russian military base placed in South Ossetia is a factor of stability. We feel calm thanks to Russian troops, which is excellent”. After hosting Kravtsov, Tibilov stated that the relations between the Ministry of Defense of Tskhinvali Region and the 4th Russian military base will continue in the future as well, keeping with the already established tradition, with the purpose of protecting the interests of their two nations. Apart from Tibilov, the de facto Secretary of National Security Council, Anatoly Pliev, and de facto Minister of Defense, Ibragim Gaseev, also participated in the meeting with Kravtsov.
• On June 1, 2018, a festive meeting was held on the 4th military base, dedicated to the beginning of a new summer training season at the base. The de facto leader of Tskhinvali Region, Anatoly Bibilov, participated in the meeting. Kravtsov also greeted the soldiers:  “we begin the new spring training period at the base. It will not be easy:  there will be constant training in military preparation at the polygon within the first module, physical preparation will be handled in the second and third modules and interesting bilateral trainings will be held between the tactical groups of the companies. All this will be concluded in October with a summarizing inspection.” Kravtsov also talked about the importance of bringing in military personnel from Tskhinvali Region. According to him, initial ten people have already joined the first battalion of the tactical group and will participate in trainings along with the others in in several days.
• On February 23, 2019, Anatoly Bibilov, de facto President of Tskhinvali Region, congratulated servicemen of the 4th military base of Russia, dislocated in Tskhinvali, with the day of “Defender of the Fatherland”. Russian “Ambassador” in Tskhinvali Region, Marat Kulakhmetov and Kravtsov, addressed servicemen with congratulatory speech.
• On May 9, 2020, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, servicemen of the 4th military base of the Russian Federation in the Tskhinvali Region, accompanied by the songs of the times of the war, marched on trucks through the streets of Tskhinvali. With the campaign - „Music of Victory“, people isolated due to the new Coronavirus spread threat, had the opportunity to listen to front-line songs. The 4th military base servicemen sang the war songs near the houses of the veterans. The campaign was organized by Kravtsov.
• On May 28, 2020, the Border Division of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, dislocated in the Tskhinvali Region, celebrated the Day of Border Guard. Anatoly Bibilov, de facto President of the Tskhinvali Region, congratulated the Russian border guards on their professional day. Head of the Border Division Vladimir Schemelinin, Russian „ambassador“ to the region Marat Kulakhmetov and Kravtsov also took part in the event.
• In October 2020, Kravtsov was replaced by Roman Viazovsky.
