Alexander Sobol

Professional career

• Since December, 2020, Alexander Sobol has been the Official Representative of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation and an adviser to the Diplomatic Mission of the Russian de facto embassy in Abkhazia.
• Sobol has been awarded the rank of Colonel.

Relations with Abkhazia

• On December 7, 2020, Alexander Sobol met with the de facto President of Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhania. The introductory meeting was attended by Sobol's predecessor, the Colonel Alexander Oparin. This was Oparin’s last working meeting.
