Healthcare representatives from Abkhazia and Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation agreed to develop cooperation. De facto Minister of Health of Abkhazia Tamaz Tsakhnakia, Assistant to the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Anatoly Gulin and the Minister of Health of Krasnodar Krai Evgeni Filipov discussed cooperation issues.

The main topics of the discussion were organizational issues of compulsory health insurance program for Russian Federation citizens permanently residing in Abkhazia. Abkhazia and Krasnodar Krai representatives agreed to create mutual working group.

Compulsory medical insurance issue was also topical in previous month. On 18  March, 2019, Russian Federation delegation met with Tsakhnakia in Sukhumi. Purpose of the visit was to discuss three stage project of providing medical assistance to the de facto Republic citizens. Gulin was also the member of the delegation.
