Vadim Czech, Federal Agency Representative in Abkhazia for Russian Federation CIS Countries, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Affairs spoke about Abkhazian students admission to higher education institutions of the Russian Federation. According to Czech, in 2019, 50 school leavers out of 350 pretendents succeeded to pass exams and were admitted to Russian higher education institutions.

According to the Representation Advisor Dmitry Kononov, in 2019, youth expresses increased interest towards technical faculties. Due to the demand for professional personnel, Majority of the quotas were allocated to master's degree candidates and postgraduate students.
