In Caucasus highland region, in the frame of tactical exercises, Russian motorized infantry attacked conditional enemy positions. Apart of the Northern Caucasus Republics of the Russian Federation, exercises were conducted in Armenia, Annexed Crimea and Occupied Regions of Georgia as well.

During the exercises servicemen developed combat quad bikes landing from helicopters. In the Southern Military District totally more than 6000 servicemen and 2000 military equipment were involved in the exercises. According to the Commander of the District Aleksandr Dvornikov it is important to use nonstandard methods and combat experience of modern armed conflicts during tactical exercises.
