The de facto parliament of the Tskhinvali region ratified a joint agreement with the Russian Federation

The agreement on mutual recognition of the disability status of discharged military personnel was signed on March 17, 2020.  From now on, military servicemen with disabilities will receive pensions in adherence to the de facto legislation of the Tskhinvali region or the legislation of the Russian Federation.

From the Russian side the agreement has already passed all domestic procedures necessary for its entry into force. In particular, the State Duma received consent on the ratification on February 17, 2021. The agreement was approved by the Federation Council on March 3, and signed by the President, Vladimir Putin, on March 9.
