In 2021, the level of wages of public sector workers will equal to the 2017 indicators of the North Caucasus Federal District, said the de facto Prime Minister of the Tskhinvali region, Gennady Bekoev, at a press conference. An increase in salaries will be calculated from January 2021.
According to Bekoev, the revenue of the 2021 budget will total RUB 1 billion 415 million, and as before, it will be socially oriented. More than RUB 5.5 billion of the 2021 budget, which equals RUB 7 billion 439 million, including Russian funding, will be allocated for social spending. Wage increases are planned for May.
Bekoev expressed a hope that an “interdepartmental commission,” which Russia and the Tskhinvali region established for the integration of “customs administrations,” will simplify the registration of imports of vehicles and cargos to Russia. It should be noted that at the end of 2020, the “customs officers” of the Tskhinvali region started working at the Nizhniy Zaramag “checkpoint” of North Ossetia.
Bekoev was happy to note that 92% of the funds were spent as part of the 2020 investment program of the Russian Federation, implementing 96% of projects. He said that the projects will be completed in early April. As for the implementation of the 2021 investment program, only technical issues remain to be addressed and it is expected to start in April. The program includes the construction of infrastructure and social facilities. Bekoev noted that the investment program does not provide direct funding for the opening of enterprises.
