A joint agreement between the Russian Federation and the Tskhinvali region entered into force. The agreement provides for mutual recognition of the disabled status of discharged military personnel.

The de facto Foreign Minister, Dmitry Medoev, and the Russian “ambassador,” Marat Kulakhmetov, exchanged certificates of the agreement ratification. The official event was held in Tskhinvali, on May 19.

The agreement was signed on March 17, 2020. It concerns employees of the de facto Ministries of Interior and Defense.
