An exhibition dedicated to Russia Day was held in Tskhinvali. The exhibition audience viewed the works of members of the Tskhinval 5 Young Artists' Union. The exhibition will last until the end of the month. The exhibition is organized by the de facto Ministry of Culture and the Rossotrudnichestvo office in the Tskhinvali region.
The event was attended by de facto President, Anatoly Bibilov, Russia's “Ambassador,” Marat Kulakhmetov, the Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo office, Sergey Skvortsov, schoolchildren, students, etc. According to Bibilov, “there has always been a close connection between South Ossetia and Russia.” He said the region has a “historical past and spiritual kinship” with Russia.
Russia Day is celebrated annually on June 12 and is declared as the “state” holiday in the Tskhinvali region.
