On April 22-24, 2019, Russian Delegation visited Tskhinvali Region. Maksim Smirnov, representative of the Ministry of North Caucasus Affairs of the Russian Federation, gave a speech and talked about implementation of Investment Program promoting Tskhinvali Region Socio-Economic development.

According to Smirnov:

• 4 billion and 184 million RUB have been allocated for Investment Program implementation in 2018-2019, including 1.4 billion RUB in 2018 and 2.7 billion RUB in 2019.
• The funds allocated for 2018 have been fully utilized, only 36 mln RUB left for further utilization.
• 459.47 million RUB already transferred for implementation of measures planned within the Investment Program for 2019. This amount is 16% of the total fund allocated for 2019.
• Out of the planned constructions under the Investment Program for 2018, 17 facilities - completed, construction of 16 facilities to be completed in 2019.
