The number of people infected with the coronavirus is constantly increasing in Abkhazia. As of July 22, a total of over 20,000 confirmed cases of infection were reported and the death toll reached - 284. Therefore, Russia will send a multi disciplinary mobile hospital with 150 beds to Abkhazia in the near future. At this point, the deployment location of the hospital is being discussed.

Last year, Russia also sent a multi disciplinary mobile hospital to Abkhazia which operated from October 20, 2020 to March 1, 2021. During this time, over 3,700 people were treated, and more than 450 people underwent complex diagnostics at the hospital.
