Doctors are taking measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection and seasonal illnesses at the 4th military base of the Russian Federation in the Tskhinvali region. For this purpose, they take the temperature of military servicemen and civilian personnel at checkpoints, as well as give them vitamins to improve their immunity.

In addition, medical specialists constantly monitor the personnel of the base. If desired, military personnel can also be revaccinated. RCB protection specialists treat working and residential buildings, as well as military equipment and transport with a special disinfectant solution.

The fight against COVID-19 also continues at the 7th military base of the Russian Federation in Abkhazia. More than 1300 people have already been treated and given consultancies at the field hospital in Sokhumi. At this stage, a total of 98 people undergo impatient treatment in the hospital. The multidisciplinary mobile hospital which was sent by Russia was opened on August 18. The hospital has discharged 343 patients since then. In total, up to 8,000 different types of examinations were performed, including over 3,000 PCR tests at the hospital.
