The De Facto Prime Minister of the Tskhinvali Region Inspects the Ongoing Constructions in Java

2021 / 11 / 03

The de facto Prime Minister of the Tskhinvali region, Gennady Bekoev inspected the construction of a children's camp in the village of Mzivi. It should be noted that a tourist base of international importance operated in this area during the Soviet times.

The construction of the new facility under the 2020-2022 investment program began in May this year. Over RUB 240 million was allocated for its repair. As the Bado contracted construction company suggests, the main works should be completed by the end of 2022.

According to Bekoev, the total area of the facility will be 3,000 sq.m. with three-storey health camps which will accommodate 150 children. The camp will be designed for children's cultural recreation, improving their health and developing their creative skills. It is noteworthy that not only schoolchildren from the Tskhinvali region, but also Russian young generation will be able to spend time in the camp.

The “Prime Minister” also visited the Dvals gorge, where repair and construction works are underway in the field of road infrastructure. Three bridges have already been built under the project, and it is planned to build well-maintained roads in the direction of the villages - Zghubiri, Edisa, Ermani, as well as to reconstruct water supply facilities. As Bekoev noted, the development of the road network will contribute not only to raising the living standards of the population, but also to the development of tourism in the “Republic of South Ossetia.” Local tourism has a great potential for development due to the large number of historical monuments and mineral waters in the Java settlement.
