Tamerlan Dzurtsov, the Artistic Director of the K. Khetagurov State Theater of the Tskhinvali region, was awarded a diploma of the Guild of Russian Playwrights. The diploma was presented to Mr. Dzurtsov by the General Director of the Guild, Yuri Butunin, at the Bulamarg Literary Award Ceremony in Moscow.

Yuri Butunin also highlighted the Artistic Director’s contribution to the development of creative ties with Russia.

The “State” Theater was opened in the Tskhinvali region in 1931. It was named after Kosta Khetagurov in 1939. The theater celebrates its 90th anniversary in 2021, though ceremonial events were postponed until next year.
