A military hospital deployed in Abkhazia completed the operation. The multi-disciplinary mobile hospital was sent by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. It was placed in the city of Sokhumi on August 18.

This was the second military hospital sent by Russia to help Abkhazia in the fight against the coronavirus. The military doctors will leave the de facto republic on December 16.

A total of 1,035 patients underwent outpatient treatment and 535 patients infected with the coronavirus were cured at the hospital. It performed over 10,500 examinations, including more than 4,000 PCR tests. At this stage, 60 people are undergoing inpatient treatment.
