On January 20, the de facto Prime Minister of Abkhazia, Alexander Ankvab, hosted representatives of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation. Among the guests was Elena Babichenko, the Head of the Pension Fund office for Krasnodar Krai in the Adler intercity region. The office is authorized for relations with the Abkhaz side in the field of pension provision for citizens of the Russian Federation permanently residing in Abkhazia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed various issues of cooperation. Elena Babichenko noted that the number of recipients of Russian pensions is decreasing. Today, 28 thousand people receive pensions. This is explained by the fact that the Russian pension is assigned to those citizens whose rights to pension provision are confirmed by the necessary requirements and in timely - until the end of 1990.
The parties also talked about improving the quality of interaction between the relevant structures, including through the implementation of relevant changes in the legislation.
