A new, 19th issue of the Russian Word magazine was presented at the so-called “State” University of South Ossetia in the Tskhinvali region. The new issue is mainly dedicated to the jubilee of the Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature, although it also includes articles on Russian language, literature and history of Russia.

The event was attended by the de facto President, Anatoly Bibilov, the Russian “Ambassador,” Marat Kulakhmetov, the Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo office, Sergey Skvortsov, students, schoolchildren, and others.

Anatoly Bibilov addressed the audience saying that “the Russian word ensured the security of [the region] in 1774, 1992 and 2008. It is crucial. Without it, children [of the region] will not be able to move forward and succeed.”
