On April 26, Tskhinvali hosted a briefing during which representatives of profile organizations discussed issues of getting an education in Russia and Rossotrudnichestvo quotas.

As announced at the meeting, Rossotrudnichestvo started the selection of candidates for admission to Russian educational institutions on September 1, 2021. Finally, 22 candidates were selected, whose documents were already sent to Moscow. The competition is held in two stages - in the first stage participants are selected by a local commission, and in the next stage by the Russian Ministry of Education. Sergey Skvortsov, the Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo office, also attended the meeting.

The meeting also discussed the quotas of the “Ministry of Internal Affairs.” This program has been implemented since 2009. Entrants pass exams at the so-called State University of South Ossetia. This year, the de facto agency also requested quotas for economic and computer security programs.
