In 2022, a total of RUB 1.160 billion will be spent under the investment program supporting the socio-economic development of the Tskhinvali region. As planned, 20 Russian-funded events will take place this year, including the construction of multi-apartment houses, the improvement of up to ten streets, the reconstruction of a bridge, the construction of an intercity road, as well as educational and social infrastructure.

A total of RUB 4.5 billion is provided under the 2020-2022 investment program. The Directorate for Cross-Border Cooperation at the Russian Presidential Administration and the Ministry of Economic Development oversee the expenditure of Russia’s funding.

The 2022 budget of the Tskhinvali region totals RUB 8.7 billion, of which RUB 7.2 billion is Russia’s financial assistance.
