On June 14, Alan Gagloyev, the de facto President of the Tskhinvali region, who is visiting Moscow, met with the Russian Minister of Economic Development, Maxim Reshetnikov.

According to Reshetnikov, “One of the key tasks has been accomplished in the last 13 years – the salaries of public sector employees have been increased. In the last six years, the incomes of teachers, doctors and “civil servants” have doubled. A total of 300 km length of roads, 18 kindergartens and schools have been built under the investment program since 2012. A modern medical cluster was opened and the “State University” was restored in Tskhinvali. In 2011, a backup power line was launched. it’s necessary to attract investment since certain results in the social sphere have already been achieved. These goals will be included in the 2022-2025 investment program.”

The meeting decided that a Russian delegation chaired by the Deputy Foreign Minister, Dmitry Volvach, would visit Tskhinvali soon. One of the main purposes of Volvach's visit will be to assist the de facto government in harmonizing customs legislation.
