The de facto president of Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhania, held an extended meeting related to the implementation of the investment program promoting the social and economic development of the “Republic” of Abkhazia in 2020-2022.
The meeting was attended by the de facto Prime Minister, Alexander Ankvab, the “Chairman of the parliament,” Lasha Ashuba, the “Prosecutor General,” Adgur Agrba, the “Head of the Presidential Administration,” Alkhas Kvitsinia, the “Secretary of the Security Council,” Sergey Shamba, “deputies of the parliament” and representatives of the “self-government.”
A total of RUB 3.848 billion is allocated within the framework of the investment program for 2020-2022, which consists current year’s funding with the amount of RUB 1.350 billion. According to Temur Agrba, the head of the so-called capital construction department, the money was distributed as a priority to such important infrastructure projects as the construction of embankment and anti-flood structures, rehabilitation of water supply systems, modernization of power plants, etc.
The program plans to build 96 facilities, among which 68 are already operational. The remaining 26 facilities are scheduled to be completed by December of this year.
