The Chairman of the de facto Parliament of Abkhazia, Lasha Ashuba, is on a working visit to Moscow since October 2. Yesterday he held meetings with the Deputy Speaker of the Council of the Russian Federation, Konstantin Kosachev, and today - with the Chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin.
The parties evaluated interim results of the activities of the recently created Abkhazian-Russian “inter-parliamentary” working group and talked about the simplification of procedures for crossing the Russian-Abkhazian “border.” The issue of deepening bilateral cooperation between Abkhazia and Russia in the fields of economy, culture, humanitary and defense was also discussed at the meeting.
After the meeting, Ashuba, together with the Deputy Speaker of the State Duma, Sergey Neverov, put a wreath of flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier,
This working visit is the first for the delegation of the de facto Parliament of the “7th Convocation.”
