As Vladimir Anua, the de facto Defense Minister of Abkhazia, stated Gulrifsh, Ochamchiri, Tkvarcheli and Gali regions will host joint Abkhaz-Russian military exercises starting on August 21.

Military exercises will continue until September 1. It is noteworthy that after Russia's military aggression in Ukraine, military exercises with the participation of 7th Russian military base servicemen significantly decreased. A large part of the base militants is fighting in Ukraine. Against this backdrop, exercises organized by the “Armed Forces” of Abkhazia increased. The Russian military will also participate in the exercises.
