On November 14, the Head of the representation office of the Federal Agency for CIS, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Affairs (Russian House) in the occupied Tskhinvali region, Sergey Komissarov, met with the Chairman of the Rossy society, one of the Russian compatriots’ organizations, Svetlana Kotaeva.

Kotaeva is a prominent public figure in the de facto republic. She participated in the II Assembly of the World Federation of Russian-Speaking Women and shared her impressions with Komissarov. Kotaeva came up with an initiative to implement similar projects in the region for Russian compatriots, which are already being implemented in different countries of the world.

The Head of Russian House welcomed Kotaeva's initiative and noted the importance of education so that “the new generation does not forget the history of the Russian and Ossetian people.” The parties agreed to hold an event on the patriotic theme.
