Caucasus Investment Forum - 2024

Caucasus Investment Forum-2024 was held in Grozny, the Chechen Republic. Representatives of the occupied regions also took part in the forum.

The Roscongress Foundation organized the Forum with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia. A total of 4000 people and representatives from 50 different countries participated in the event, which was held on July 15-17. The main theme of the forum was „Greater Caucasus - from sea to sea.“

Within the frame of the Forum, the Prime Minister of Russia, Mikhail Mishustin, visited the stands of Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region.

The de facto Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy, Kristina Ozgan, who headed the Abkhaz delegation, and the Minister of Economic Development of Russia, Maxim Reshetnikovsigned a protocol on amendments to the „Agreement between the Governments of Russia and Abkhazia on the Regime of Trade in Goods.“ The changes will reduce customs clearance costs for some goods exported from Russia to Abkhazia.

The de facto President of the Tskhinvali region, Alan Gagloyev, headed a delegation of the Tskhinvali region. During the forum, he met with the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Alexander Novak, who supervises the occupied regions in the government.

The Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia, Dimitry Volvach, who supervises the occupied regions, also participated in the Forum. He called on investors to pay attention to the occupied regions, and promised to support them if interested.
