Up to 3000 servicemen of the 7th Russian military base in Abkhazia performed night shooting from the armament of tanks (Т-72Б3) and armoured personnel carriers (БТР-82АМ) in mountainous and coastal areas.

Mountain infantry units equipped with the latest combat outfits „Ratnik“, used reconnaissance, command and communication complexes - „Стрелец“ with integrated navigation system „ГЛОНАСС“.
