On January 31, 2019, delegation of de facto government of Abkhazia visited Krasnodar Krai. The Abkhaz delegation was headed by Jansug Nanba, de facto Vice Premier and the Finance Minister. Igor Galass, Deputy Governor of Krasnodar Krai, hosted the guests.

Issues related to economic and social cooperation were discussed at the meeting. In 2019, it will be 10 years since the agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical, humanitarian and cultural cooperation was signed between Krasnodar Krai and de facto Republic of Abkhazia. According to the Krasnodar administration, trade turnover between Krasnodar Krai and de facto Republic of Abkhazia exceeds 44.5 million USD.
