Representatives of the Council of Russian Federation, who will observe illegitimate presidential elections in Abkhazia scheduled for August 25, 2019, paid tribute to the tombs of two de facto presidents of Abkhazia. Russian Delegation visited the tombs of Vladislav Ardzinba and Sergey Bagapsh.

50 foreign observers will observe illegitimate elections. Russian Delegation comprises of: Farit Mukhametshin, Deputy Head of Foreign Affairs Committee, Mikhail Kozlov, Deputy Head of Defence Committee, Senator Olga Kovitidi from the same committee, representing Crimea, Aleksey Kondratyev, Foreign Affairs Committee member.
