As a part of tactical exercises in mountainous and coastal areas in Abkhazia, Russian servicemen with UAVs carried out aerial monitoring and control of the movement of troops participating in the exercises and transmitted information to the management in real time.

UAVs stationed at the 7th Russian military base can fly 100 km from the control point. 1000 servicemen and more than 200 military equipment with 20 modern UAVs („Granat“ and  „Orlan“) among them participated in the exercises at Tsebelda and Nagvalou polygons.
