Motorized infantry unit under airmobile group composition of the 7th Russian military base in Abkhazia worked out their actions for the first time. The units carried out reconnaissance activities in the mountainous areas, based on information received from UAVs.

At the military base airmobile groups were formed in December 2018 under the initiative of Alexandr Dvornikov, Commander of the Southern Military District. 1000 servicemen participated in tactical exercises, involving more than 200 military equipment.
