The center of the „Russkiy Mir“ Foundation will be opened at so-called State University of South Ossetia. The Foundation will provide technical support for the center establishment as well as provide all necessary scientific-methodological literature.

Respective agreement was signed by Vadim Tedeev, the University Rector and Vladimir Kochin, the Foundation Executive Director, during the Foundation XIII Assembly.

The foundation was established in 2007 under the decree of Vladimer Putin, the President of Russia, with the aim to popularize Russian language and support Russian language study programs in Russia and abroad. The Chairman of the Foundation Board is Vyacheslav Nikonov, member of the State Duma and Chairman of the Educational Committee.
