On January 28, 2020, Vitaly Mutko, former Vice Premier and Curator of the Russian Federation to Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali Region, was elected General Director at the state company „ДОМ.РФ“. He will serve as Director from January 29, 2020, to January 28, 2025.

Mutko failed to retain his post in the new government and resigned on January 15. JSC „ДОМ.РФ“ is financial institution working on housing market development in Russia. „DOM.RF“ was founded in 1997 under the government decision. The state company aims to develop mortgage credit market and housing construction. 100% company shares are owned by the state.

Interesting is that one more former curator to Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali Region, Oleg Govorun, is also employed at the same state company. Govorun was the Head of the Directorate for Cross Border Cooperation at the Presidential Administration. In Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali Region the Directorate was working in direction of socio-economy. On May 27, 2019 Govorun was appointed Deputy Director at „DOM.RF“. His responsibility is to deal with the regions’ government officials, including solving the problems of deceived shareholders.
