In Chechnya, North Ossetia and the Tskhinvali Region motorized infantry units of the Southern Military District 58th army started bilateral tactical exercises.

Aircrafts of the 4th military aviation of Military Air Forces and Air Defence will participate in the exercises to support motorized infantry units. At the final stage of the exercises, combat shooting will be carried out from various weapons. During the tactical exercises, units of the tank, artillery and motorized infantry will jointly perform combat tasks in mountainous terrain. The bilateral exercises will last until March 7.

About 1,800 military personnel are involved in the exercises.
