Battalions of motorised infantry of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation in Abkhazia started an active phase of tactical air landing exercises.

Army aviation crews of the 4th Army exercised to destroy conditional enemy infantry and light armoured vehicles at Tsebelda and Nagvalou military polygons. The crews also practiced landing in various terrain conditions.

Over 1,000 servicemen participated in the exercise.
