On February 21, 2019, in Moscow, at the Ministry of North Caucasus Affairs of the Russian Federation, Minister Sergey Chebotarev met with de facto Prime Minster of Abkhazia Valery Bganba. Igor Koshin, Deputy to Chabotarev, and Igor Akhba, Russian „ambassador“ to Abkhazia, also attended the meeting.

The issue of investment program implementation promoting socio-economic development of Abkhazia was discussed at the meeting. Implementation of 59 projects of construction and modernization of socially significant facilities is planned under the program. Issues related to the formation of investment program for 2020-2022 and the agenda of the regular session of the Intergovernmental Committee on socio-economic cooperation between Russia and Abkhazia were also discussed.
