According to the agreement reached between Abkhazia and the Russian Federation, Russia will supply electricity to Abkhazia effective February 27, 2019.

Due to the water level fall at Enguri HPP and the threat of emergency shutdown, electricity was not supplied to the districts of Abkhazia from February 20, from 11:00 am to 14:00 pm, daily. The restriction was in effect until February 27.

According to de facto Prime Minister of Abkhazia Valeri Bganba, Russia supplies electricity for Gudauta, Gagra and Sokhumi districts partially, the rest is being supplied by Enguri HPP.
