The de facto president of Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhania, met with the "ambassador" of the Russian Federation to Abkhazia, Aleksey Dvinianin. According to Bzhania's press service, issues of bilateral relations were discussed at the meeting. 

Having come to the de facto power in April, Bzhania often meets with Dvinianin. Their last meeting was held on September 3.
