The Tskhinvali region and the Russian Federation will sign an agreement on mutual recognition of the seniority of military service.

The document will be signed in February. As a result, contract servicemen will receive salary supplements, and a monthly pension supplement will be accrued to servicemen upon retirement.

Consultations with the Russian Federation to conclude the agreement took three years. The draft agreement has already been approved by the Russian government. The document will be signed for a period of ten years and may be extended for another five years.
