Units of the 7th military base of Russian Federation in Abkhazia will participate in more than 150 tactical and special-tactical exercises in summer period.

On Dzartsemi polygon, servicemen of the 4th military base of Russia in Tskhinvali Region exercised in use of hand grenades (RGD-5). During the month 3000 hand grenades will be utilized.

Servicemen of the 4th military base of Russia in Tskhinvali Region exercised on Dzartsemi polygon. During the exercises conditional enemy cluster was discovered with the help of unmanned aviation and destroyed by means of various military equipment and weapon.

Meeting between the representatives of Federal Customs Service of Russian Federation and de facto State Customs Committee of Tskhinvali Region was held in Tskhinvali. At the meeting was noted that turnover between Russia and Tskhinvali Region in 2019 increased by 16%. During 2019, up to now, 18 000 tons of goods were imported from Russia to Tskhinvali region, 1 530 tons - exported.

Presentation of book by Kosta Dzugaevi was held in Tskhinvali. Anatoly Bibilov, de facto President of Tskhinvali Region attended the presentation. Monograph ("Понятие "окна возможностей" применительно к интеграционно-воссоединительному процессу Осетии") refers to Tskhinvali Region integration with Russia and reunification of Ossetian people.

On June 10, 2019, Rashid Nurgaliyev, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Russian Federation, Curator to Abkhazia and Tskhinvali Region, paid working visit to Abkhazia. Two months earlier, on April 22, 2019, Nurgaliyev together with Inter-Agency Delegation of Russia was in Tskhinvali Region on three-day working visit.

Working meeting at the de facto government of Abkhazia was held with representatives of the Ministry of North Caucasus Affairs, Treasury and Central Bank of Russian Federation. Within the three-day working visit, Russian delegation will monitor the purpose of consumption of Russian financial assistance for 2018. The Russian side will also review development of investment program for 2017-2019, in which implementation of 59 events and consumption of 1 billion 681 million RUB is considered.

On June 11, 2019, at the “Embassy“of Russian Federation in Abkhazia, “Russia Day“ was celebrated. “Russia Day“ is the national holiday of the Russian Federation, it has been celebrated annually on June 12 since 1992. The guests of honour at the event were Raul Khajimba, de facto President of Abkhazia, and Rashid Nurgaliyev, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Russian Federation.

On June 10, 2019, results of general medical check-ups, conducted for the population of Abkhazia, were summarized at the administration of Gagra district. According to Tamaz Tsakhnakia, de facto Minister of Healthcare, 13 600 citizens underwent medical check-ups. General medical check-ups for the population of Abkhazia commenced on April 5, 2019, from Gali district and completed on June 10, in Gagra district.

Representatives from unrecognized republics and Russian Federation, as observers, attended illegitimate parliamentary elections held in Tskhinvali on June 9, 2019. Anatoly Bibilov, de facto leader of the Region, met with the guests as well.

On June 7, 2019, Adgur Ardzinba, de facto Minister of Economy of Abkhazia, and Alexander Novak, Minister of Energy of Russian Federation, signed protocol on amendments to the agreement on trade regime between Russia and Abkhazia. Amendment implies supply of petroleum products without export customs duties, that will result in abolishing of preliminary customs clearance regime.

Valeri Bganba, de facto Prime Minister of Abkhazia, participated in the plenary session of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum-2019. The forum was opened by the President of Russia. Within the Forum framework, Bganba met with the members of Russian Government: Vitaly Mutko, Deputy Chairman, Alexander Novak, Minister of Energy and Alexander Beglov, acting Governor of St. Petersburg.
