The Ministries of Culture of Russia and the de facto Republic of Abkhazia signed a cooperation program for 2023-25.
On May 22, a delegation of the Republic of Bashkortostan, headed by the Minister of Trade, Alexei Guseev, visited the de facto Republic of Abkhazia. Guseev met with the de facto Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy, Kristina Ozgan. The parties discussed the issue of increasing turnover and transit potential. Attention was also focused on the creation of a trade corridor for the export of wine, citrus, nuts and products produced in the de facto republic.
Personnel of the 7th military base of the Russian Federation in the de facto republic of Abkhazia conducted military exercises and destroyed a conditional group of saboteurs.

On May 17, within the framework of an agreement on alliance and strategic partnership, the third regular meeting was held in Moscow between the Russian Federation and the de facto Republic of Abkhazia. The agreement was signed on November 24, 2014 and aims at creating a single social and economic space.
On May 15-16, the President of the de facto republic of the Tskhinvali region, Alan Gagloyev, paid a visit to the Republic of Chechnya to celebrate the Days of Ossetian Culture.
During his working visit to Russia, Aslan Bzhania, the de facto President of Abkhazia, met with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian government, Alexander Novak, who supervises the occupied regions of Georgia. Bzhania participates in the first Caucasus Investment Exhibition.
The Prime Minister of the de facto Republic of Abkhazia, Alexander Ankvab, met with the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Russia, Konstantin Mogilevsky. The meeting was also attended by the de facto Minister of Economy, Kristina Ozgan and the so-called Minister of Education, Inal Gablia.
The Cabinet of Ministers of the de facto republic of Abkhazia approved the project for “the delimitation of maritime spaces within the framework of the Abkhaz-Russian intergovernmental commission on delimitation and demarcation of the state border.”
