The de facto President of the Tskhinvali region, Anatoly Bibilov, held a meeting with a delegation of the Federation Council of Russia. The Russian delegation was chaired by Sergei Tsekov, a member of the Council Committee on International Relations.

The Russian parliamentary delegation visited the Tskhinvali region. The delegation is chaired by Konstantin Kosachev, the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal Council. Members of the delegation are Krim Kazanakov, Oleg Seleznyov, and Kazbek Taisayev,

Anatoly Bibilov, de facto President of the Tskhinvali Region, participated in the meeting with Vyacheslav Bitarov, Head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania and members of the Federal Council of the Russian Federation. At the meeting was discussed developing social and economic fields in North Ossetia and the Tskhinvali Region.

De facto parliament of Tskhinvali Region and the Federal Council of the Russian Federation cooperation committee meeting was held in Moscow. At the meeting was agreed cooperation plan for 2020. 

On October 11, 2019, in Sokhumi, delegation of Federation Council Committee on Defence and Security, Russian Federation, met with de facto leaders of Abkhazia. The guests from Russia were met by Valeri Kvarchia, de facto Prime Minister and Raul Khajimba, de facto President.

Russian Federation Council Agency Staff will pay three-day visit to Tskhinvali Region and share experience with local colleagues.

Compared to the first round of the illegitimate elections of Abkhazia, the second round, held on September 8, was monitored by less observers. Among the observers was Aleksey Kondratyev, member of Foreign Affairs Committee of Russian Federation Council.

De facto parliament of Tskhinvali Region appealed to the State Duma and the Federation Council of Russian Federation with the issue of Georgian checkpoint opening close to the village Tsnelisi.

Representatives of the Council of Russian Federation, who will observe illegitimate presidential elections in Abkhazia scheduled for August 25, 2019, paid tribute to the tombs of two de facto presidents of Abkhazia. Russian Delegation visited the tombs of Vladislav Ardzinba and Sergey Bagapsh.

Representatives of the Council of Russian Federation will also observe illegitimate presidential elections scheduled on August 25, 2019, in Abkhazia. Delegation will be represented by: Farit Mukhametshin, Deputy Head of Foreign Affairs Committee, Mikhail Kozlov, Deputy Head of Defence Committee, Senator Olga Kovitidi from the same committee, representing Crimea, Aleksey Kondratyev, Foreign Affairs Committee member.
